Duplicitous Republican Representatives

Yeah, its another week of media sponsored bat guana.  O.J. got out on bail, that lucky bastige but there is always the newsworthy advertisement of MoveOn.org.  Boy, the media and congress must surely love MoveOn, the way they pay them homage.

Ya know, the Republican representatives have been mighty busy this week denouncing the moderately left website calling what MoveOn did to General Patreaus irreprehensible. They said the Democrats failed to denounce MoveOn, forgetting that this is a free-market country where advertisers are free to advertise and newspapers are about the advertising dollars before they are a readership. These same Republicans sat silently when the not so Swift-Boaters smeared another decorated soldier, Senator John Kerry.  They did nothing except they defended the wimp running on their ticket who had no record of servitude other than enlistment.  These Republicans are the same as the wimp they elected.  That's all for now.

How Shall We Be Changed? Questions by Chelle Stockman

So many things could be made better in my opinion.  For one, I'd like people to not feel uncomfortable around one another anymore. I mean, because of race, gender, habits, etc, I wish people wouldn't commit so many atrocious acts.  I wish we didn't have to be so puritanical around sexuality, nor do I wish for us to be so blatant and even perverted.  I wish television commercials didn't try to sell us sickness because they have a new drug they want us to pay for.

I wish men didn't have such a terrible problem with erectile dysfunction, women to have such a problem with restless legs, with leakage during laughter and coughing spells, with people having every kind of addiction, which requires these new designer drugs that employ actors in commercials in hope that we shall subscribe not only to these problems, but also to their many awful side-effects that also require new designer drugs to combat.  I wish instead, pharmeceutical companies would bring us anti-hate remedies and anti-war pills, anti-fossil fuel dependency pills, etc.  But then, that would be witchcraft, wouldn't it?

I wish people wouldn't rely upon graphs and charts to state their case because the use of those charts have always been manipulated by those wishing to make a point-especially companies wanting to sell us designer drugs insurance companies don't pay for, dependency on resources that ultimately lead us to war, and half truths that keep us in one war or another, without regard for basic human life.  I wish no Bush or Cheney existed to sell us hate and fear and the idea that some how our lives are more important than those they want us to erradicate. I wish no other devils like Bush and Cheney would take their place as they fade into meaningless conversations of the all too easily manipulated masses. I wish humans understood the difference between minding their own business and helping the innocent, and I wish they would do what the situation required to either allow folks to handle their own problems without interference, especially when they don't ask for that help anyway; and I wish people would admit that when people are having their homes bombed, their marketplaces blown to smithereens, and their children and loved ones tortured, and made dead, I wish they'd realize that this is not kind, it is mean and it is useless, a product of manipulation and evil and that instead, these victims need our help, not our hate or apathy.

I wish the congress and senators would address each issue alone and seperate from all other issues, one at a time, after careful consideration of what we the people ask of them while weighing them out with their own findings from their own research, not the research from those with pie charts and graphs. I wish there wasn't destruction of this earth and I wish there were no murder and no need for weapons.  If I could change any one of these things I would, but I am, at least in my thinking, unequipped to change each and every one of these things and others like them.

As I was considering the level of frustration that was entering into me while I was doing an absorbtion meditation, I told myself, I can choose to not be so affected.  The Sun brightened through the clouds and its beauty touched me deeply as it seemed to pass through me and dance upon the earth.  It occured to me, that the Sun does what it does, it behaves only like a Sun and it isn't something we should interfere with, while the Earth, when allowed to, behaves as Earth should and that we should do whatever we can to not interfere with this process as we maintain our lives.  At that moment, something happened to me and I got filled with peace.

Then it occured to me that we people of this earth have others we either elect or those who appoint themselves to do our bidding, to represent us, and to serve us. We cry foul when these representatives fail us and lately, all we can do is argue amongst ourselves about which representatives are dishonest and which are honest.  But you know, our representatives are people too.  Some are not evolved in the way of kindness.  Some are highly interfering in the lives of other human beings.  Some actually care and do their very best to keep their promises.  Not one is perfect.  Not one represents us perfectly, not so any of us would notice.  You know why that is?  They are human beings and they are human beings who are on their own life's path, a path that will hopefully lead them in the light of truth to wisdom.  They are humans just as we are.  So why is it we need them to do for us what we are unwilling or unable to do?

There is no doubt in my mind, that things need to change, that situations like the fiasco in Iraq must change, that our practices here on Earth need to change; but what I do know to be true, is that no matter how much we discuss solutions or who it is we should be blaming, not one of us can change anything or anyone but ourselves and those changes begin with changing the way we think.  Only then can any of us be transformed.  We don't live in an impossible world.  We live in a world of change; may we soon choose change for the sake of transformation instead of profits.  Amen

Credit Card Legacy, Inflation/Deflation, Consumer Manipulation by Chelle Stockman

You know, sometimes a subject can be researched so much that any point you wanted to make originally could get lost in the universe of TMI (too much information).  I began researching the history of credit cards for a lot of reasons, but the most important reason I had for doing so was because I was sure that the over availability of credit cards was responsible for the escalating cost of goods and services. Unfortunately, what I found was a ton of information that lead to a largely unregulated global market that most blame for the lack of good paying jobs in their immediate areas.  That's not where I wanted to focus my attention. So I'll just tell you what I think and let you all agree or disagree without having to do any research--just allow your own experience to determine how you think.

When I was a kid, I didn't know one person who had a Visa or Mastercard, but that was in the late 50s and early 60s (1900's).  Goods in America were made in America unless you went to a fancy out of the way foreign store.  Those were special and the goods, depending on quality were higher in price because they were not readily available, except in little Italys, Chinatowns, etc., in which case they would be much more affordable. So how did a large family with one adult working buy their clothes, their fabric to make clothes and such hard goods?  Well first of all, stores like Hartfords, J.C. Pennys, Sears and Roebucks, etc. were affordable, but for those on a budget, they offered a Lay-a-way program.  This allowed everyone to do their shopping in advance, pay a little at a time until everything was paid, and this was such a cool way of doing things.  No one went into debt to have their seasonal needs met.  This was a truly American concept that was very helpful and kept more Americans within their budget.

When Visa really began to take off in the mid 60s, just 10 years after their introduction, Mastercard joined in on the available credit programs.  One by one, stores quit offering lay-a-way and more and more Americans became addicted to the credit card cycle.  Suddenly, people didn't have to wait for their goods, they could have them right now and worry about paying for them later.  You just knew each time a store began offering their own credit cards, they would soon do away with the lay-a-way program and sure enough, that's exactly what happened and still happens.

Because Americans suddenly became needy in a "must have it right now" kind of way, credit card companies made it possible for corporations to double and triple in size and charge more for their goods, which they in turn blamed it all on an antiquated supply and demand principle stemming from the late 1800's. Credit Card companies think of themselves as the saviors of capitalism, meanwhile, those who got themselves into a pickle see them as more of a dark blemish that won't go away.  The more in debt you are, the more higher your interest rates go, unless you are a corporation in good standing.

When 9/11 happened our president asked us to go shopping.  Just how were we supposed to do that? Credit cards, that's how.

Now we have the housing market fiasco and a growing identity theft problem, most of it caused by our use of credit cards!  Say what?  I can hear some of you now, "That's a stretch, Chelle, even for you."  But, dig this.  To qualify for a home loan, you need a good credit score which depends predominantly on your available credit/debt ratio and your payment history.  More people have credit card history than they do a home loan history.  It's the same thing when you take out an auto loan; you must have a good credit history to qualify for a lower interest auto loan. Credit card companies report your private information to the credit bureaus which are private entities and they in turn determine your credit worthiness or the lack thereof.  Their practices and ineptitudes are not fully disclosed to the public yet they are the Jesus connecting you, the needy consumer, to the corporate gods.  Now we pay more for our property and more for our transportation and it will keep going up, up, up because they all want to feed their bottom lines.  Who cares if those that "qualify" can really handle the debt?

As a result, we have an astronomical fiasco in home foreclosures as well as a fast growingenterprise in vehicle repossession.  So, who is bailing these greedy lenders out of their zealous losses?  We are, through the federal government.  Who is floating our Federal Government?  Foreigners like China.

The way I see it, it was no accident that most of our industries located their manufactoring in China.  They have deplorable environmental standards and terrible ethics regarding human life, plus, they are communists just ripe for infecting with capitalism.  Once most of our ducks are driving their economy, we can poison the products coming from them and blame them for it thus breaking their economy and reclaiming our rights to our property, leaving them broken and dependent upon us instead of the other way around.  Who would ever suspect us for behaving in such an evil way?  After all, everyone knows China doesn't care about the environment or human life, right?  No one would dare ever suspect that American and Western corporations would be behind any of this, right? They are the saints who came to offer the Chinese a better way of life, right?

It all began with the over availability of credit cards and the only way to cure this problem is to refuse to subscribe to lending practices, even home loans.  You can't afford it, you don't get it.   People will turn to each other for help as they once did, and you know what?  No corporation would control elections, our happiness, or our governments ever again.  Problem is, I have no faith in the rest of you folks.  You are too needy.  You want it right now.  So, we bought the future of our grandchildren.  Trouble is, we can't afford it.  That's all for now.

Pakistan, Iran's Protector? Bhutto, Beautiful but Deadly? Chelle Stockman

When  Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut asked General David Patreaus about Iran and inquired how soon we will be able to go there, I nearly fell off the couch where I had been reclining.  I couldn't believe my ears.  This is the third time I've heard Senator Lieberman inquire with an unappealing zeal as to when we shall go to Iran, as if it is a known and accepted reality.  Mind you, the senator was supposed to be asking the General about the surge and possible pull-out of Iraq.

But you know, it kind of makes sense when you weigh it against the fact that Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, a political bed partner of G.H.W. Bush (41) back in the late 80s, has announced that she intends to come out of exile.  Do any of you recall the Bhuttos?  One was assassinated back in the late 70s when I was in college and dreaming of becoming a therapist that used movement through dance.  I wanted to volunteer in the peace corp in those days--such an idealist.  I do recall a Bhutto being assassinated and it was horrible.  I only knew this because my intellectual buddies all spoke of it but the newspapers that did report it didn't report it as my friends had.  Years later, it turned out that Americans had been manipulated and my friends were more accurate but also not entirely correct.   They could not see back then that Bhutto's daughter, Benazir would one day lead Pakistan and promote more freedoms for women and those under a slightly off kilter practice of the Islamic religion. Nor could they have predicted that she would become a close pal to the USA and Great Britain.  They couldn't have known that a woman would help to kill the Soviet Union while gladly leaving the United States all the glory.  But true to those who practice the Islamic Faith (not religion but faith), she had always been up front with those she dealt with. Every polite and casual conversation she had with those shesought the help of, was a fatwah in a sense.

She even warned us that the US would suffer a major retaliation for their hand in aiding her but she did it so casually, it went unheeded.  There is nothing in their religion that says they must declare things with fire and brimstone or a secretive note.  Nope, that isn't her style.  She is a woman, and a very intelligent woman.  She is a daughter who will have revenge.  Those who are responsible for her father's death had better look out and I'm sure that some faction of the US and also of Britain were involved, no matter what news sources may have said.  I'm sure of it.

Consider that Zia Ul Huq/ Zia ul-Haq, a fundamentalist Mullah, was considered to be responsible for her father's death but that later after he was elected and changed the country forever, he and his aides were killed in an airplane crash.  Back in those days, planes made an easy way to dispose of those you wanted gone.

She had warned Bush 41 that because he empowered the extremist Muhajadeen to help them in a jihad against the Soviet Union, the Muhajadeen would grow in power and would one day become our enemy.  Now why would she say something like this so casually to one who helped her with her jihad?  Well, you see, to declare a fatwah, you must warn your declared enemy or more appropriately, the enemy of the cause of Allah.  She fulfilled this.

Important history

Benazir Bhutto was the wealthiest powerful female in the Islamic nation and Osama bin Laden was one of the most wealthiest and most power males.  Both were involved with the jihad against Soviet Union and both had formed a relationship with George Herbert Walker Bush.  Bush comes from a long line of powerful and wealthy aristocrats, particularly those from Connecticut and Joe Lieberman is a Senator there.

I predict, a blood bath in the territories of bin Laden and Bhutto. I predict a lot of talk that gets us to want to retaliate and I predict that now, we shall see more tragedy unfold, maybe that rivals that of 9/11.

Why are the wealthy and powerful doing this to us? Why are they tearing out the hearts of the people of this world?  Why are they manipulating us?   Why do they sleep with each other politically and financially speaking, only to declare each other enemies?   Why can't they go fight this out amongst themselves and let the rest of the people of this world do what we ought to be doing, living and loving? Why do we the people of this world protect them above ourselves?  Why do we do their bidding and spill our blood for their hatred, lies, and falsely interpreted religious doctrines?

To Anyone Who Still Gives a Damn by Chelle Stockman

I am not flirtacious but since when does the average person care about truth? Anyway, below is a post I did today on my blog off the blogstream.com site.

 Bin Laden Sham

By Chelle Stockman

First of all, I haven't been online for a long time due to events requiring my attention offline. That being said, I have some questions to ask of you folks. Do any of you find it odd that the news is putting on crap once again? Do any of you wonder why news programs exist other than to put out garbage? Do any of you still believe what comes across the airwaves???

I suspect there is an agenda that corporations (advertisers, sponsors, etc.)put forth through our so called news stations. These programs put out crap 24/7--the same thing over and over and over...

Last night they began their Osama (usama) bin Laden warnings about this evil man who wants to kill you and you and even you and God forbid, you too. Osama's popularity contest is temporarily overshadowed by a picture of a mother whose daughter went missing some months ago while crowds booed her. It would seem everything hinges on blood found in a rental. We shall never hear the truth but I betcha fiction writers can give us an ending, happy or otherwise. Then we are on to more bin laden stuff. We are supposed to be angered by the allegations that the mom of Madeline killed her own daughter in a campaign of hate against frustrated and heartbroken parents meanwhile we are supposed to live in a darkened fear that bin Laden has ordered yet another hit upon your head, my head and yes, your head, too.

I hadn't heard that he had forgiven us for our willingness to allow inconsiderate corporations to lead us to war, to allow us to rape lands for resources and displace indigenous folks; nor have I heard that he has forgiven us for our usury practices, adulterous propaganda and for having females as flight attendants on airlines. Has he lifted that fatwah against us? If so, then maybe this latest warning has some meaning but I am not buying it.

Why are they giving this man any more credit? I mean, he seems to hate everything we do, everything we stand for and everything we haven't got the courage to stand for like the things we put on to paper but don't actually subscribe to. You know what I mean, like our constitution for instance. Don't you think one fatwah says it all? I mean, how many fatwahs does he have to declare against us to be taken seriously? "I promise to send you to your deaths." Okay, so he has promised to kill us. One promise is enough but come on now, 3 is an "over kill." Look, if we captured this dude, the entire Islamic nation would be on us like vultures on a corpse. We could have killed him long ago and we did not. The news of a promise to hear from him on the anniversary of 9/11 is not news to us. It's not even good tabloid stuff for entertainment. It is merely bait for a fish that doesn't exist.

So, my suspicions fall upon the corporate driven media we are all beholden to for something that at least resembles the daily news. I ask of them, what are you not telling us that you should be shoveling your crap upon us yet another day in another week in a long decade of bullshit.

I used to respect jounalists but those who can still claim that watered-down moniker have fled to underground reporting. I say this because my observations since Bill's cigar fiasco with a Beverly Hills mother's daughter turned whore in a White House aides cap, has had me scratching my head. Remember the money Ken Starr cost Americans when he went after the Clintons? How many millions did it cost us to locate nothing more than a tiny little Cuban that was a tad naughty and led to the soiling of a chubby girl's dress? We should have been outraged. But alas, in retrospect, it was just a preview of things to come and voila, we are in Iraq, destroying a lot more than lives we never cared about in the first place.

I'm done with television. I'm done with advertisers. I can think for myself without having to be manipulated by these bottom line dwellers.

So we shall hear from bin Laden, big deal. Then what will they use to keep us from the truth; Terry Schiavo's brain will come alive again?

That's it. I've vented, and I ask of you who use your own brain instead of Ms. Schiavo's, please don't buy into this crap.
